Web3

Since 2016, I’ve been pondering what problem Web3 actually solves. Now I can see it clearly: Web3 has resolved the issue of trust between people. In the past, trusting each other was quite challenging. When we wanted to start a company, we had to deal with countless contracts, procedures, and clauses. Getting something done or pursuing a collaboration was very cumbersome. But in the world of Web3, everything has changed.

Collaboration has become incredibly easy. Token economies allow for a fair distribution of rewards to early contributors, down to very fine details, making it possible for small or fragmented contributions—this means many people can come together to contribute.

Many believe that Web3 is merely a financial tool or a way to “make money.” But if you look at the variety of applications blooming on Solana this year, you’ll see the bigger picture. Starting in 2024 and 2025, Web3 has been transforming our lives in countless ways beyond finance. The spirit of freedom and satire has become a kind of symbolic banner; AI-managed capital and investment institutions are emerging; a host of Web3 applications fueled by tokens are arriving in areas like fitness, insurance, health, transportation, gaming, and more.

When we find ourselves at a crossroads of destiny, we realize this is only the first chapter in humanity’s grand history of decentralization.

Web3 is significantly improving our lives and making collaboration simpler. This is the mission of IOG. We are here not just for notable profit, but to understand just how much we can achieve through Web3 and how many people and projects we can help succeed.

Some might ask, “Where does IOG’s profit come from?” Sure, IOG will generate profit, but profit isn’t IOG’s sole objective. Our fundamental goal is to help everyone succeed. If everyone succeeds, then IOG will have done something meaningful. Thanks to token economics, I believe IOG can reap ample returns. Such returns will be distributed—via the token economy—to all early developers, contributors, and everyone who helped build IOG.

What’s even more intriguing is that it only takes a spark for IOG to develop on its own. Web3 will nourish itself, through IOG. IOG will accelerate any project or individual that benefits Web3 and the world, supporting all people with dreams and strong self-belief to help them succeed.

Why Is Web3 an Ideal Opportunity for Mutual Support?

While we often say that helping others out of self-interest isn’t pure, and that we should purely act out of altruism, how do we then scale that help to reach more people? Something must serve as a driver—it could be the reward of a clear conscience or the good feeling of doing something positive, but it can also be personal interest.

Having an interest at stake doesn’t mean we help others just for profit. We help them because we stand united as a human community, and mutual assistance benefits us all. If this assistance yields positive results, then it’s only right to share in the spoils of victory with all participants.

The conclusion is simple. Under Web3, IOG does not emphasize that we help others purely for profit; rather, we want to highlight that each person who helps us should be fairly and appropriately rewarded. Web3’s token economy perfectly solves this issue.

Thanks to the “pump fun” concept, anyone can launch their own project and brand. If that brand grows, it generates new value, which is delivered to all contributors through token ownership. It’s a near-perfect system: everyone participates and benefits. Of course, you must consider the risk of failure: your support and help for others could potentially amount to nothing.

Risk and reward go hand in hand. If your help leads to success, it’s natural that you share in the fruits of victory. If it leads to failure, your courage and willingness to help remain commendable.

Meaning of IOG

I often ask myself, “What does helping others represent? Who are the people most deserving of respect?” The answer is simple: those who persist and offer support even when they know the odds are against them. Because they believe, they choose to carry on, no matter the result. Such people are immensely worthy of admiration.

This is essentially what IOG aims to do. IOG wants to offer a platform to every person with aspirations to succeed and a dream of changing the world. We’ll do everything we can to help them succeed.
